Oh, those big companies

Now in the next chat we talked with the guys and it surfaced that big companies like to shovel other people's contracts, "twist the hands" of the contractor, and then not pay according to the agreements.

I have several such examples when, on the one hand, I was told that "we are an international company / we have 2500 employees / we have billions of dollars in turnover / we have such brand in your portfolio will be / etc ".

On the other hand:

  • culture management is below the plinth;
  • documents cannot agree on time inside themselves;
  • they ask to deviate from the regulations, because they themselves cannot comply with their own regulations;
  • they rule the documents so that they made a time & material format out of a contract for a fixed amount of work, and even abandoned task assessments, collecting debt by the hour;
  • they offer even more jokes to concessions from our side as a gesture of goodwill: 365 days guarantee for each task / refusal from the deadline for accepting work / etc.
  • are asked to redo the acts, which legally must already be paid. And they ask to withdraw this very term of the claim and not pay later.
  • and do not pay the bills, trying to devalue the contractor's work, make him a fool by manipulating phrases;
  • big meetings with a bunch of people to flood me in negotiations with different appeals and show their importance.

In general, they like some big companies show how big they are. They have lawyers and problems, they want the result at someone else's expense, but for some reason also humiliate the counterparty.

I already have 3 of them in my piggy bank, big and expensive, cool, the joy of working with them just overwhelmed, but these are the side effects.

I don't know how small companies handle this. Qualifications are needed, or experience, or appropriate education, or special skills and talents. But creative guys definitely die out in such battles.

My practice of working with large amounts of information helps me. I don't care how many pages a document has to read "here and now"; how many people will speak to me at the same time or how they will try to catch me at my word. I have parallel branches of dialogue in my head and I can quietly quote all my phrases further.

My rule is simple - behave yourself!

Whoever comes to me with what will leave with it.

And there are super-large companies, the level of which is simply unrealistic, and there are calm people, neat and tactful, who negotiate in such a way that inside you just jump like a child. me such a cool experience of negotiations fell like a miracle.

And they don't twist my documents, they can't stand my brain. They simply recommend changing some "because and because" clauses, and we end up signing them quickly.

Why am I writing?

Well understood a little, yes.

I also realized that the problem is more due to the people on the ground. And most likely, they simply suffer from the inconsistency of themselves with the company and the position, but they do not want to lose it, so they spin as they can.

Professionals know their worth, are calm and reasonable. Well, or bright and emotional, but all the same they have everything on business.
